Vaccinations will be available at Point Pleasant Intermediate School from12:00 PM-3:00 PM (November 12 is a remote learning day for Mason County students.) Parents will be required to complete a consent form for each child to be vaccinated. Consent forms will available at your child's school and at the clinic sites.

Mason County Schools will be closed on Thursday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Friday, November 12, will be a REMOTE LEARNING DAY for students. Teachers will provide learning activities prior to this date and be available for support on November 12. Meals will be available at each school for pick up between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Again, Friday, November 12 will be a remote learning day in Mason County Schools. If you have questions, please contact your school.


This evening's (November 4th) PTI meeting has been postponed until Tuesday, November 9th, at 6PM.

Today, Mr. Raynes and the student council presented Dave Foreman with a plaque in recognition for his many contributions to the school as a volunteer. Dave has recently fixed playground equipment, repaired the ice machine, and landscaped around our parking areas and sidewalks. We are proud to honor him for his continued efforts to help our students and staff.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be returning to New Haven Elementary next week, November 1st through 5th. Information about the Fair should be coming home with students by the end of this week.

Today was "Glow Day" in 5th and 6th grades. Students worked on activities in each subject using highlighters and fluorescent materials. Rooms were lit with black lights, and students received glow sticks.



Ms. Ashley's preschool class successfully performed brain surgery to identify letters and numbers while learning about the brain during their Exercise/Body Study.



Just a reminder that tomorrow October 22nd is a scheduled two hour early release for students to provide time for Faculty Senate Meetings. Students will be dismissed two hours earlier than usual.

Report cards will be going home with students on October 28th. Don't forget that your child's report card will look a little different this year because of our transition to a standards-based format.

October 18-22 2021 is National School Bus Safety Week. Mason County wants to send out our appreciation to all of our Bus Drivers who work to transport and keep our students safe on their way to school and back. Thank you Bus Drivers!


Students in Mrs. Kinnaird's kindergarten class learned about scientific method as they answered the question, "Will a pumpkin sink or float?"
