Mason County Schools would like to invite all PK-12 families & community members to attend a countywide family engagement night featuring Dr. Tommie Mabry being held Tuesday October 6, 2026, in the Wedge Auditorium at PPJSHS. Dr. Mabry has a remarkable story of challenges & successes which have helped shape both who he is now and his message of perseverance & hope. Please make time to join us on October 6th! Congratulations to our 2026 Agriculture in WV Poster Contest Winners. This contest is open to all 4th grade students. There were three winners picked from each school that participated and the county winners were chosen from the school winners.
Our Mason County winners were Leighton Morrison from PPIS, Addison Sayre from Roosevelt (not pictured) and Bailee Fetty from New Haven.

New Haven Elementary is our largest elementary school with 435 students. It is in the northern most part of Mason County and is one of the best schools in the area. On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Mason County Schools, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Management received information of a possible threat to Point Pleasant Junior Senior High School. The incident was fully investigated and precautionary measures were taken to ensure student safety. Additional first responders may be seen at the school to alleviate any concerns. Due to the quick response from the above mentioned agencies we do not feel like there is reason for concern. As always, we thank law enforcement and emergency management for their continued partnership in ensuring our schools are safe for students and staff.

State Birth Certificate, Current Well Child (physical), Current Dental, Immunization record, Income verification

Your child must also attend for screening.
